Traditionally each wet room in a house (ie: kitchen, bathroom, utility room, toilet, etc.) has an individual fan to remove stale air, smells and condensation and expel them to the exterior. This is required by Part F1 of Building Regulations.
Central Extract Ventilation replaces the individual extractor fans with one central unit (conventionally sited in the loft, garage or cupboard) with ducts to each extract point, usually in the ceiling of the room. Trickle vents in the windows are required to allow fresh air to enter the house. We supply two central extract systems: the Siroc, which is a bespoke system that can be used for up to 8 extract points; or, for houses with up to 5 extract points, we offer the Kit in a Box, which offers excellent value. |
